Bob Returns
First off, thanks to all of you that came to the Madison Film Festival (all three of you). While the festival wasn't a resounding success, it did well enough considering the apathy for which DSU is notorious. Everyone I talked to in attendance seemed to enjoy it.
Secondly, there are a few festivals that may be of interest to our readers. The first is the annual Oscar Micheaux Independent Film Festival, which is held in Gregory, SD in August (I believe). I don't yet have any info on this year's festival. Last year the organizers had an independent movie contest and a few workshops which I enjoyed thoroughly and hope to see again. If you can, I highly recommend attending at least part of this festival. I'll post more info as I get it.
The second is an online festival at StudentFilms.com. It's for 5 minute (or less) shorts centering around a theme. This year's theme is "lost and found." Last year, Miles, Holly, and I entered a short about "a road" which won nothing, but was still fun and educational to make.
Hammers progress has been halted temporarily while I traveled across the countryside (to Vegas and Texas) and will be involved in other projects. I'll pick up where I left off as soon as I can.
