Festival Updates
It looks like Holly, Holli, Miles, and I are collaborating for a quick short for the StudentFilms.com film festival. Obviously, it's centered around the theme of Lost and Found. Miles has written a script and we go into production Thursday (19th). I'll keep you posted on progress.
Yesterday I got a letter in the mail from the Oscar Micheaux Center with some details about the upcoming festival, which I'll now pass on to you. First, the festival will be held in Gregory, SD, August ninth through the twelfth. There will again be a creative writing, film making competition, along with classes in writing and film. These will be August eight through the ninth. Entries can be either in the form of some kind of prose or film, and must be post marked July 29th. There is a (very reasonable) ten dollar entry fee. As far as I can tell, this entry fee also includes attending the film and writing classes they'll be having. For more info, contact napers

Like I said last update, I attended and submitted a film last year and had a great time. I especially enjoyed the class where we learned about three point lighting, working with actual equipment and getting instruction from an experienced film maker. So I strongly encourage those of you who can make it to do so. I might not, as it's in the middle of the week and I used all my vacation time on recent travels.
And lastly, just because everyone loves pictures. I'm including a quick screen cap of some random scene from What Hammers are For.
