What Hammers are For

A Complicated Film...
Alan from HammersThe script for this film is the result of hours upon hours of dedicated planning and replanning. Last fall, Bob and Matt spent an estimated 96 hours simply conceptualizing and outlining this 50 page epic. They then spent another 72 hours writing and rewriting and co-rewriting (a process involving the hardwiring of their brains together using floss). Knowing that this film was a creation for the ages, so much meticulous thought was put in the construction of this script that an entire 10 hour period was committed to the development of the physics of Soulular Energy alone. However, on January 19, Martin Luther King day, they emerged from their mindmeld in possession of a masterpiece which was every bit as brilliant as that of the speech of the day's namesake.
Blending comedy, drama, family fun, action, existentialism, THC, romance, and black comedy, the script stands as the best piece of contemporary American art since Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream. It has been (in the future) hailed by critics as:
"Insightful! I haven't left a theater having learned so much since I saw the original Porky's in 1873!" -Roger Ebert, Chicago-SunTimes
"Wonderful use of vocabulary! Chad the Egad truly knows the English language!" - Martin McMartin, Time Magazine
"Top Notch Special Effects! They really carry the story!" - Bill Martin, New York Times
"The best made up physics ever! If that's not true you can cut off my ass!" - Barbara Walters, The Barbara Walters Show
"Cut off my ass too!" - Opera Winfrey, The Opera Winfrey Show
"Hands down the feel good, tear jerker of the millennium!" - Marty Gershwin, Rolling Stone Magazine
"YOU WILL BELIEVE IN HAMMERS AGAIN!" James Lipton, Inside the Actor's Studio
